| Hello everyone and thanks Mike for putting this site together. I logged on after receiving the Alumni Newsletter looking for reunion info and wow! I had a million things to do tonight but the site took me down memory lane, enjoyed reading all the entries. I'v been happily married for 17 years with four children: two boys, 11 and 9 years old as well as two girls 9 and 7 years old living nearby in Medina after a brief stint in Atlanta, and 12 years in Chicago. I'll be checking the site now that I have found it and look forward to the 25th. Great to catch up with everyone. | |

| Hi, everyone. I cannot believe it has been 25 years. I am so excited to find this web site. I am currently iving in Brecksville, although I have mosved 8 times in the past 15 years. I am a divorced mother of two beautiful girls, Kayleigh, 13, and Jillian, 10. I have been a registered nurse for almost 22 years, is that right? I have worked for Cleveland Clinic for the last 19 years, mostly in surgery. I ran in to Dave Speck in October, at the Central school where our daughters attend 5th grade together. He is living in Brecksville, also. I am looking very forward to our reunion. Thankyou, Mike for doing this web site. Cheryl | |

| Kudos to those who have organized and contributed to the website so far, and welcome to all newcomers. What a trip! ... Well, after '81 I graduated from Univ of Minnesota with an engineering degree and have since lived/worked in WI, AL, TN, OH, New Zealand, Australia, Finland, Russia, Holland, and China; mostly in the paper industry. While overseas, I met my future wife Natasha; now married going on 4 years. Living up in Alaska, no kids (yet) and 1 dog (a husky mix named 'Jasper'). I'm currently working as a project manager at an oil refinery (I say "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em!" and "keep buying those SUVs"... :-) Seriously, though, a few memories from the Midpark era: lot's of music/concerts (Michael Stanley, AC/DC, Bad Co., Journey, Judas Priest, Led Zeppelin, Springsteen, American Noise, WMMS radio, Blossom Music Center), baseball/softball games, cruisin' the Parkway, football/basketball pre-game festivities, swim team/graduation parties, and playing tackle football with Mr. Reinhard and others at Gallagher elementary school in November (Turkey Bowl)... Didn't make any of the other Class reunions. As for the 25th this year (Sat Oct 14) I say "Strike It Up"!! We'll try our damndest to get there (after salmon fishing and moose hunting seasons are over we'll lock up our igloo and set out with the dog team southeast towards Cleveland)! Lot's to catch up on... Anyway, keep on posting and hope to see/hear from y'all soon! Cheers!! | |

Just wanted to say I am sorry I ruined our trip to Flordia back in the 80's. I was just mad you got the pretty girl...Also, sorry for almost getting us beat to the pulp by Blake Thum...Remember we left him at the Akron Agora and he had to walk home at 3 in the morning. I think Hassara, Keith Klum and some other wild guys were with us. I do remember Blake trying to hunt us down the next day to put on some ass whoopin...Oh well good times...I think !!! Any how glad all is well with you and Brenda. Last time I saw you guys was early 90's before I moved. Back in town and married myself. | hi everyone! i just wanted to take a moment at this time to thank all of those 1981 meteors who have traveled back home with us to 'meteorland' via this web site. as of this month, this site has been in existence for 3 years. it has gone from one member [me] to over 140 members. i am pleased with that. my first post on july 11, 2003 was sceptical, but you have all proved me wrong with your fervent enthusiasm to revisit our common past as well as plan a great event to reacquaint and reunite in the nearing future. please continue to spread the word about our site so that others will find it and join us, whether for a quick 'hello' or more lengthy recap of the last 25 years. either way, it is good to hear from each and every one of you. michael | |

| Hey guys! I'm not sure if you will remember me. I left Midpark at the end of my sophemore year June of 79. I was the budding young rock n roll guitar player from Brook Park looking for my big break into the music business. I got that break in June of 79 and that's why I didn't graduate with all of you!! I'm glad to say that I'm still sucessfully in the music business touring as a side musician with music stars like Eric Carmen, Gary Lewis, Ian Hunter etc. Another little tidbit about myself,, I'm the guy that sings that annoying "IX Indoor Amusement Park" Jingle!!!! SORRY ABOUT THAT!!! I'm gigging on both of the nights of the reunion but I'll try to stop in at Images early on Friday night on the way to my gig to say a quick "hello". | The reunion committee should be very proud of a job well done! Your efforts meant a great deal to many. I know you faced a few ups and downs during the planning stages, but the outcome was terrific. I'm really glad I was able to make the trip from NJ, and to reconnect with so many people with whom I share a past. New friendships are great, but you can only share memories with those that have been there with you! It was definately a trip worth taking. Thanks again! | |

| Hi Everyone, Sorry I haven't ever talked to you in the last 28 years. I left Brook Park after high school and basically never looked back. Rather selfish but that's the way it was. Well, I came across the website recently and found that it brought back fond memories of so many of you. I was able to contact two people whom I was closest to back in the day, Mike Gaydos and Cheryl Kukich, so I'm grateful for that. To everyone else, now that I'm an old Fuc*er I'm thankful for everything that we may or may not have gone through together. I am who I am in part because of you all and that turned out to be pretty good. So, thank you all and maybe I'll get to see you at the next reunion. Oh, a shout out to Teri Salamis because he's down here in Florida with me. Too cool to walk into a bar in Florida and see a schoolmate owning it. Teri is awesome by the way if you didn't already know it! Best wishes to you all. Sincerely, Allen | |

| Hi everyone,I stumled across this web site during my job search and WOW, how nice to remember some of the great times and people.I did glance over alot of messages from before the reunion(of course not until now, late 2009)and I am realy sorry I missed the reunion. We had just moved and I was working all the time. But, getting back to memories,I had long forgotten about being left in Akron by Mike H.,Dave O. Rob (Skippy)N.and a few others.Boy,it would be great to run across you all again.Good times!Maybe we could get together at some odd-numbered year event?Hope everyone is well.Take care.Blake Thumm | |
